Wholesale and Your Garage Sale
Now if you think about it, most garage sales you have been to or have hosted yourself usually consist of used items from someone’s home. You may have seen seemingly brand new things thrown into the mix, and maybe even in large quantities. The truth is many have figured out that certain types of items can be had, brand new, in wholesale quantities for low prices and a profit can be made from selling these items at such events. The good news is that you can also do this.
Here is a sample situation. It is spring time and you figure it is about time you clean up your home and get rid of anything you are no longer using. This means both low value items and maybe even things that are worth a pretty penny. Like with any garage sale, you gather the unwanted items together and price them prior to putting the items out for sale. Then you might look at any one of the online wholesale auction websites and try finding a lot of items that is very affordable. See if you can try selling these wholesale-bought items at your sale and try pricing them at double what you paid for the item granted that you are meeting or beating other retail prices of that given item.
You may find that the item in mind sells well at your garage sale. As you have more sales, you can certainly expand on the wholesale selection, for the greater variety of items that you can sell successfully, the more profit you can make. Who knows, maybe even one day you will be having garage sales of primarily wholesale purchased items!
